Josep Señé: “We’re really motivated to get back competing’

The midfielder spoke to Play Red about his adaptation to training and the feeling within the dressing room

Jose Señé says he and his team-mates are motivated to prepare well ahead of a potential return to La Liga campaign.

Having made six appearances since his arrival earlier this season, the midfielder believes everyone will need to be at their best to play a part in a gruelling run of fixtures should the season resume.

“A mini-league awaits us because - in a month - the remaining 11 matches will have to played,” he told Play Red. “We've been preparing well over the last few weeks to have the best possible start to the competition. We'll all have to be available and 100% - both physically and mentally - because every 72 hours we’ll have to play and that will give us the opportunity to rotate and gives all players opportunities.

“At home we were running on a treadmill, on different terrain to grass. It’s true that the first few days you could notice it a bit and most players had the hand break on, but from there the adaptation has been very good."

With Spain gradually easing restriction measures throughout the country, Señé remains optimistic about the ways in which football could get back underway.

"We must continue to be responsible as a society to maintain the progress we are making," he continued. "If we're prohibited from celebrating goals together, it will have to be done differently. The most important thing is to gradually overcome this situation ".
