Sergi Darder, Antonio Raíllo, Leo Roman and Jagoba Arrasate reflected on our 3-0 defeat to FC Barcelona. Find out what we had to say below.
Sergi Darder:
On the game: "Despite conceding the first goal, the team created two clear chances and competed well until the sending-off. Eleven against 11 it is already difficult against an opponent like Barça; with ten or nine players, it's practically impossible, but the team's effort is commendable and a source of pride.
On the second goal: "When we were at our best, with real chances of hurting the opponent, the sending-off broke the game and left us with no options. Even so, the fans continued to cheer until the end, and that's greatly appreciated. This support gives us strength and will help because next week we'll start winning."
On the positives: "I'm convinced that if we unite and maintain this spirit, we can have a great season."
Antonio Raíllo:
On the game: "The first goal came from a defensive error on our part: a cross from the wing that we didn't cover well and they quickly got past us. From then on, the game went a bit crazy. Beyond that play, there's little to criticise the team for. In the first 20 or 25 minutes, we created clear chances. I can't be happy, but I am proud of the effort. In the end, we should all reflect, because in situations like this, the spectacle is lost."
On the second goal: "I think LaLiga protocol says the game should be stopped, but that wasn't the case. I stayed on the ground for 10 seconds and then the doctor was already attending to me."
On the team effort: "We ran a lot with nine players and almost achieved our goal of keeping a clean sheet in the second half."
Leo Román:
On the game: "It's difficult to analyse the game. Despite the strange situation surrounding the second goal, the team found space, but with the expulsions, it's not easy to accurately read the game."
On the second goal: "It caught us all a little off guard. I think the play should have been stopped earlier.
On thesecond half: "We have to be demanding, and everyone has to look at what needs to be corrected."
Jagoba Arrasate:
On the game: "I liked the team until the 2-0 scoreline, but being down to nine was already very difficult. Aside from that, I liked the team in the second half."
On the game before the second goal: "In those minutes before the game ended, we were doing well, but it slipped away very quickly."
On the second half: "We needed freshness and to work well with two lines of four. Within the context of the match, I think we worked well, and we have to keep improving so we can come back here next week and get the three points."
