Trofeu Ciutat de Palma by Estrella Damm Match Report: RCD Mallorca 2-0 Hamburg SV

Takuma Asano and an own goal saw us close out our pre-season with a win

Takuma Asano and an own goal by Miro Muheim saw us beat Hamburg SV 2-0 in the 47th edition of the Trofeu Ciutat de Palma by Estrella Damm.

Jagoba Arrasate rotated his side once again as he gave minutes to various players ahead of the new season starting.

We started strong and took the lead in the 13th minute when Asano put the finishing touch to a fine team move which involved Pablo Torre, Vedat Muriqi and Mateu Jaume combining in the build up.

Leo Roman had to be at his best on the half-hour mark to produce a double stop to ensure we headed into the break with the lead.

We doubled our lead shorly after the restart as Muheim was unable to prevent himself from putting the ball past his own goalkeeper in the 59th minute.

Roman again had to get down well to prevent Hamburg SV from getting back into the game not long after as Arrasate made various changes including the introduction of Abdon, Dani Rodriguez and Omar Mascarell.

Marc Domenech almost added a third goal with minutes left on the clock as we finalised our pre-season with a convincing win at home.
