Adam Buksa: "I am here to create chances, score goals and help the team to points"
Our new striker spoke to the media for the first time after his loan signing
Adam Buksa is our latest mallorquinista.
Our new striker has wasted no time at all getting to work and is putting in the hard yards ahead of joining up with his new team-mates. Find out what Adam had to say about his decision to head to the island, his first impressions and what he knows about the club.
How do you feel about joining RCD Mallorca?
I feel great, really excited to be joining this great club. I can’t wait to start training and playing with my teammates.
Have you been to the island before?
Yes, this is my second time on the island. I was here last year as a tourist. I watched a couple of RCD Mallorca matches. I also got to see a La Liga match live last year, when RCD Mallorca played against Celta de Vigo. So, obviously, I know the club doesn’t belong in the Segunda División. The club belongs in LaLiga. My aim is to help the team secure promotion at the end of this season.
How would you describe yourself as a player?
I’m a striker who feels at home in the box. I thrive on crosses and through balls… I’m here to help the team create chances, score goals and contribute to the team’s results in general. That will be my role.
Have you spoken to Luis García?
Yes, I spoke to him before signing. Generally speaking, I’m aware of his expectations and I’m absolutely convinced that our collaboration will be very fruitful.
Do you know any RCD Mallorca legends?
Samuel Eto’o, obviously.
What did you know about RCD Mallorca?
As a child, I used to watch LaLiga in Poland. Obviously, LaLiga and the Premier League are the two leagues that are watched the most. I know that Mallorca has always been one of the best-known and most important clubs in Spain.
