15,765 tickets sold on the first day for the Copa del Rey final

The opening day for tickets sees an incredible response rate from fans

The first day of ticket sales has seen a total of 15,765 of the 20,698 tickets available sold for the final of the Copa del Rey to be held on April 6 at the Estadio La Cartuja in Seville.  

Up to 2,500 people were waiting before the sale process began online while the demand was such that 10,000 tickets were sold in the first hour.

The call centre set up by the club will continue its service throughout the sales process which will end on March 25 at 11:59 pm.

Alfonso Díaz, the club's CEO of Business, said: "We are very satisfied because we have seen the enthusiasm that the final has awakened in Mallorquinistas. Achieving these numbers on the first day is a success for everyone. I am very grateful to the fans, the response has been incredible, but we will continue working to achieve that on April 6 we will be 20,698 dimonis in La Cartuja."
