Vedat Muriqi, David López and Jan Virgili analyse the win against Rayo Vallecano

The goalscorers and our centre back reflected on an important win at home

Vedat Muriqi, David Lopez and Jan Virgili spoke to the media after our 3-0 win against Rayo Vallecano. Find out what our goalscorers and centre back had to say about the victory.

Vedat Muriqi:

On his personal feelings: I'm very proud of myself. I want to thank everyone (family, teammates, staff...). I said it from the beginning: I want to be a Mallorca legend. I don't want to stop here. I want to keep going and help us stay in the league.

On the Ballon d'Or: They're crazy, how can this be, a Ballon d'Or... they love me a lot, and I love them a lot too. I'm continuing on my path, and if I can be the top scorer, great, if not, no big deal, I'll keep going. I want to dedicate this victory to Mateo, Raíllo, and Lucas, who couldn't be with us. I wish them a speedy recovery.

David López:

On the game: I think it was a perfect afternoon. We wanted to play a good match in front of the fans and keep a clean sheet. Everything went perfectly.

On the clean sheet: It was a great effort from the whole team. That's the key to staying up.

On the home form: That's the goal, we've already talked about it in the locker room. We're going for our third home game, we want to win it.

On Muriqi's goals: Ballon d'Or, nothing more to say...

Jan Virgili:

On his first goal: I think it always comes when you least expect it. It's a huge weight off my shoulders, I'm very happy.

On the game: We have three consecutive home wins and we're going for the fourth to achieve our objective. We have to keep playing the way we are and we'll get there.

On the fans: Having the fans support you is always a positive thing and I'm very happy to help the team.

On Muriqi's goals: He's incredible and we're very happy for him, hopefully he won't stop until the end of the season.
