The Consell de Mallorca presented the “Jugam amb l’elit” 2026 programme at an event held at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
The initiative brings together 15 elite clubs from the island and representatives from various local councils with the aim of promoting the values of sport in schools and sports organisations.
The presentation was led by the President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, and the Second Vice-President and Minister for the Environment, Rural Affairs and Sport, Pedro Bestard. Representing RCD Mallorca was Alfonso Díaz, CEO of Business, alongside members of the various participating clubs.
The “Jugam amb l’elit” programme promotes theoretical and practical talks in schools with the direct participation of top-level athletes. During the current academic year, 150 workshops are planned, reaching around 4,000 children and young people, establishing itself as one of the most sought-after sports initiatives by schools and colleges in Mallorca. Furthermore, the collaboration between the Consell and the clubs is structured through a sponsorship agreement that will allocate more than €2.3 million in funding over four years, with an annual investment of over €740,000.
The presentation also saw the launch of the 2026–2027 institutional values campaign, centred on ‘Effort’. The campaign’s video features Mallorca striker Abdón Prats and Paralympic swimmer Xavi Torres.
The campaign highlights the contrast between a sedentary lifestyle and digital consumption on the one hand, and participation in sport on the other, and will be displayed at sports grounds and venues across Mallorca, as well as in schools and family settings.
Alongside RCD Mallorca, clubs from various sporting disciplines are collaborating on the programme, including Azulmarino Palma, Atlètic Balears, Illes Balears Palma Futsal, Club Voleibol Manacor-ConectaBalear, Club Vòlei Sóller, Espanya Hoquei Club, Palmer Basket Mallorca, Arancina Handbol Mallorca, CN Ciutat de Waterpolo, Fibwi Palma, JS Hotels Cide, Mallorca Voltors and the newly joined clubs Palma Rugby Unión and Rugbi El Toro.
