These were the words of Javi Llabrés and Jagoba Arrasate after the victory against Shabab Al Ahli in the first match of the training camp in Austria.
Javi Llabrés:
On the win: Winning is always enjoyable and it's a better job. The only thing we have to do is prepare well for the league, and these matches are very good for us.
On thoughts: We're improving and getting into the rhythm of our legs, which is important. We're getting playing time and correcting tactical aspects.
On his goal: I'm happy with the goal, but the important thing is to continue gaining confidence, rhythm, and improving little by little.
On Austria: It's nothing like Mallorca. Here, the game is not as hot, and the climate is truly perfect for playing.
Jagoba Arrasate:
On the victory: It's not the most important thing, but winning is always better. It was also the result of our desire to win, especially in the final minutes. As usual, there was a bit of everything: a closed first half, where we defended well, but we lacked attack. And a more open second half where there were chances on both sides, so we could have tied the game and won. The most important thing is that we got more minutes, we're doing very well in Austria. Good temperature, good facilities, and little more to ask for in the first 24 hours.
On what he liked: I liked the team's defensive performance in the first half because Shabab is a team that had just beaten Udinese, that scores goals easily and that was a better team in the first half, and I think we defended well. And then I liked the end, above all, where I think we went for the win, we persisted, we had chances, and the victory came as a result of that consistency. There's also a lot to improve on, as is normal at this stage of the preseason.
On new signings: The biggest difference is probably for Lucas (Bergström) because his is a very specific position and it's costing him a little more. But we're working well with him, and I'm sure that with time he'll acquire concepts and give us more sobriety. Salhi clearly has a lot of self-confidence, and we've put him ahead because I think he's also a deep player. Regarding Pablo Torre, it's a shame about the penalty because that goal would surely have given him confidence, but we know what he is: a reliable player. And I'm happy with Leo's debut. A homegrown player we want to see, and that's why we're here.
