Pre-season match report: RCD Mallorca 1-1 Parma Calcio 1913

Our final friendly in Austria ends on equal terms despite Abdon Prats' penalty

We were held to a 1-1 draw against Parma Calcio 1913 in our final pre-season friendly fixture from our camp in Austria with Abdon Prats getting on the scoresheet.

Jagoba Arrasate opted from a much-changed side that lost to Olympique de Lyon with Dominik Greif named in goal, new signing Pablo Torre starting in midfield and Takuma Asano getting named in attack.

We started the stronger side and almost took the lead through Antonio Sanchez in the fifth minute when he tested Cervi from afar.

Daniel Luna was next to come close when he was just inches away from connecting with Asano's cross in the 11th minute.

We would get our reward for the early presssure when Torre was fouled in the box just past the half-hour mark and Abdon made no mistake from the penalty spot to give us the lead.

The whistle blew for half-time with few opportunities following our goal as we headed into the break with a slender lead.

Arrasate made further changes to give players further minutes with David López, Mateu Jaume, Javi Llabrés, Manu Morlanes, Illiese Salhi and Sergi Darder being introduced.

The Italian side would manage to score a late equaliser when Adrian Benedyczak found the back of the net with a close-range finish.

The draw sees our time in Austria come to its conclusion as we head back to the island to further prepare for the new season.
