We held our official presentation ceremony for the 47th Trofeu Ciutat de Palma by Estrella Damm at our Conference Room at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
We will face Hamburg SV at 8:00 PM on Saturday in one of our final pre-season fixtures ahead of the new campaign getting underway.
The German side has six Bundesliga titles, three German Cups, two League Cups, and two international titles to its name: the European Cup Winners' Cup (1976-1977) and the European Cup (1982-1983), now known as the Champions League. Hamburg's most recent trophy (2003) is the German League Cup (DFL-Ligapokal).
Hamburg SV already participated in the semi-finals of the first edition, back in 1969 and in 2012. In the past, Bayern Munich (2007), Hertha Berlin (2005), Bayer Leverkusen (1998), Fortuna Dusseldorf (1989), Frankfurt (1972) and Cologne (1970) have visited the island.
CEO of Business Alfonso Díaz said: "Last year we recovered the trophy after many years in which fans were unable to enjoy it. This is now the 47th edition, and we're facing one of the classics of German football, Hamburg SV. A few months ago, they held a training camp at the Ciudad Deportiva to prepare for the final stretch of the season. Their stay in Palma went very well, and they secured promotion to the Bundesliga. Congratulations to Hamburg. I hope the fans enjoy the football celebration and that it's the start of a great season in which we've once again made history thanks to our more than 23,000 season ticket holders."
Mayor of Palma Jaime Martínez said: "Saturday should be a day of celebration and an essential event for the city of Palma and all Mallorcan fans. We must be grateful for the work carried out in supporting sport in Palma."
The event concluded with an official photo in which Díaz, Martínez, David Salom, IME Sports Director, Jerónima Mayans, Palma City Council Councilor, and Pedro de Juan, Trade Marketing Manager for Balears d'Estrella Damm, posed with the trophy on the pitch, in an image that symbolizes the union between the club, the city, and the fans.
The match will serve as the official presentation of the first team to its fans ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The club encourages supporters to attend from 0730 p.m. when the squad presentation will begin on the pitch.
