RCD Mallorca picks up a point in Elda (0-0)

RCD Mallorca drew (0-0) away against CD Eldense after a match where the Mallorcan team had chances to win, but failed to find the back of the net.

Luis García fielded a starting lineup very similar to the one that defeated AD Ceuta FC, with the exception of Sergi Darder replacing Pablo Torre.

The visitors started out wanting to dictate the play: dominating possession and pressing their opponents during their build-up. Adrián Fuentes, Zito Luvumbo, and Sergi Darder created some of the most dangerous chances for Mallorca in the first half through various attacking actions.

Meanwhile, CD Eldense looked to cause damage on the counter-attack and from set pieces. Right after a corner kick, a dangerous shot came in that Arnau Tenas had to save providentially.

When it looked like it would be 0-0 at halftime, Manu Morlanes won a penalty in the final minutes of the first half. Alex Sala took the penalty, but his shot unfortunately hit the woodwork.

In the second half, RCD Mallorca maintained their dominance. The opposing goalkeeper, Ramón Vila, denied goals from Fuentes and Josep Cerdà, while Luis García made attacking substitutions as the minutes ticked by: Adrián Liso, Abou Soumahoro, Pablo Torre, Adam Buksa, and debutant Guille Fernández came on.

The hosts also had their chances, once again on the counter-attack and from set pieces. In the end, neither team could break the deadlock and the match finished 0-0.
