Pablo Maffeo spoke to club media following the end of the transfer window as we head into a international break. Find out what our defender had to say below:
"To take the bull by the horns. I've always said that I'm happy here in the city and I simply believed that my time here was over. Since that's not the case, I'm obviously going to give it my all."
"I'm going to carry on as normal. I've played injured for this club: with three broken vertebrae, a broken knee, a broken foot... I would continue to do so and I will continue to do so because what's good for the club is good for me. So, there's no problem on a sporting level."
"In the end, things aren't going to change if the main culprit, which is me, doesn't do his part. So, if I don't do my part, things won't change and this could be a disaster. But it won't be like that. Now it's time to roll up my sleeves, work harder than anyone else, and be self-critical of everything I've done wrong."
"I want to run up and down the wing, play, and be available to the manager. Now my mind is focused on Mallorca."
"I think I need to make amends with a section of the stands, and I have to take the first step. I will do so, and at least I won't leave here tomorrow or when my career is over and say that I didn't at least try."
"Going out there and telling them to shut up was my mistake, and I accept that because it's true that they weren't targeting me, but the team. But we were coming off a bad streak, and a lot of things came together. I was wrong, and if anyone in the stands felt offended, I apologise."
"It's true that the chants hurt me, I didn't like them, and I reacted badly. It turned into a big deal, and it shouldn't have happened."
