The Estadi Mallorca Son Moix hosts the Trobada Popular de Música i Ball mallorquí

Our stadium hosted the festivities and musical acts on the weekend

The Estadi Mallorca Son Moix stadium was the venue for the Trobada Popular de Música i Ball mallorquí, an event organised by Grup Güell, a partner of RCD Mallorca on Saturday.

This festive day, with clear local roots, featured performances by music and dance groups representing the island's popular culture. The event reinforces the club's commitment to the Mallorcan society of which it is an integral part.

The director of the Social Area of RCD Mallorca, Román Albarrán, and the president of Grup Güell, Francisco Bauzá, were present at the event, along with the following authorities: the director general of Family, Children, Youth and Diversity of the Balearic Government, Catalina Isern; the executive councillor for Tourism of the Consell de Mallorca, Jose Marcial Rodríguez; the island director of Sociocultural Promotion of the Consell de Mallorca, Hermosinda Isabel Mariño; the councillor for the Delegated Area of Citizen Security and Civility of the Palma City Council, Miguel Busquets; the Director General of Social Action and Territories, Francisca Sampol; the Director of the Municipal Sports Institute (IME), David Salom; the Head of the 47th ‘Palma’ Infantry Regiment, Colonel Jose María Laiz Ugidos; and the VOX Councillor at Palma City Council, Jero Mayans.

Saturday's event was yet another of the many joint initiatives between Mallorca and Grup Güell, the result of the partnership between the two parties. In August, for example, the Club already made its mark on one of the events marked in red on the island's popular calendar: the traditional Marxa des Güell a Lluc a peu, in which around 7,000 backpacks were handed out with the logos of RCD Mallorca and Grup Güell and the slogans ‘Poble’, “Cultura” and ‘Mallorquinitat’.

In addition, a family and social climb to Bellver Castle is scheduled for 12 October, starting at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

After the route, participants will enjoy a meal at the Mallorquinista strongholdand we invite our fans to get involved.
