Joan Morey, our eternal first season ticket holder

The club pays tribute to our long-serving fan

Joan Morey, the club's number first season ticket holder, spent 72 years cheering on the team of his life.

He became a fan at the age of just 13 and since then has not missed a single match, experiencing both the most glorious and the most difficult moments of RCD Mallorca.

Thanks to his unwavering loyalty, Morey proudly held membership card number 1, a privileged witness to the club's history from the days of the old Lluís Sitjar stadium to the present day at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

In an emotional report entitled Memory and passion: a chat between legends, the club arranged for Morey to talk to former player Joan Forteza. Together, they relived several Mallorquinista milestones, including Mallorca's first goal in the First Division, scored by Forteza himself in 1960. Morey also recounted unforgettable episodes from his career as a season ticket holder, such as the promotion to the First Division in 1983 and the night of San Juan in 2019, which he described as the most exciting moment he has ever experienced as a fan.

Joan Morey will be remembered as an encyclopaedia of the club's past, someone capable of recounting half a century of Mallorca's history in detail. His dedication transcended generational barriers and he was always an example of love and loyalty to the colours.

RCD Mallorca extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones, accompanying them in this time of grief.

Rest in peace, Joan.
