Mateo Joseph spoke to our club media after his match-winning display against Seville at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
The striker registered his first two goals in red and black and will be looking to continue this form against Levante UD this week.
Having just turned 22 years of age, Joseph discussed life on the island, on the team's form and the season so far.
On the victory against Sevilla: "Hopefully, it's a turning point that will help us, in this match against Levante, go all out and with confidence. I think the whole team is very happy with what we experienced against Sevilla."
On prolonging the good feeling: "When things aren't going so well, we know how hard it is to get back on track. So, now we can use this (the victory) to continue and, with the confidence and spirit we have, go all out."
On day-to-day work: "Often, in football, we question many things: what are we doing wrong, what are we doing right? I think we've had some very good weeks of work, and I believe that when you work and give your all, you end up getting results. We saw that this week."
On scoring two important goals: "It feels great, also because you can see the work reflected. I put in a lot of effort and try to be the best version of myself every day. So, I'm very happy for the team and for having been able to help them."
On his individual situation: "I've been feeling better for a few weeks. A change of league and team requires adaptation and a process, and I'm looking forward to this also being, as the coach said, the game we all use to gain more confidence."
On images of the collective celebration in Seville: "I think you could see the unity of the team. I loved that we were all so united. I think we've been united even in the bad times. We're all united and we're going to keep going like this to keep adding. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this team can do, and I think we're capable of a lot."
