RCD Mallorca awards the ‘Dimoni d’Honor’ to Cata Coll, Mariona Caldentey and Patri Guijarro

The club recognised the athletic performances of each player with a special presentation at our stadium

We presented the ‘Dimoni d’Honor’ award to Mallorcan players Cata Coll, Mariona Caldentey and Patri Guijarro in tribute to and recognition of their excellence, careers and values, and for being clear sporting and social role models for the islands on Thursday.

The three footballers received the award from RCD Mallorca’s Corporate CEO, Alfonso Díaz, in the presence of their teammates, following the Spanish national team’s training session at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

Coll, Caldentey and Guijarro, who played at home last Friday in the important victory (4-0, including a goal from the FC Barcelona striker) against England, are enjoying sporting careers of a success that is within the reach of very few.

With an impressive list of honours at both club and international level, the three Mallorcans have put the name of Mallorca and the Balearic Islands on the global map. Their example extends beyond the pitch, making them leading social role models in a rapidly growing sport with ever-increasing influence: women’s football.

Coll and Caldenteny lifted the World Cup in 2023 and the UEFA Nations League in 2024 and 2025, and have, amongst many other titles, four Champions Leagues, the same as Guijarro. The three players’ honours lists are complemented by a significant number of domestic leagues, cups and super cups.

Similarly, RCD Mallorca recognises and highlights the presence of another Mallorcan, Lucía Corrales, who, at the age of 20, has a very promising career ahead of her and who, like Coll, Caldentey and Guijarro, embodies the talent and future of sport in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands.

The “Dimoni d'Honor”

The ‘Dimoni d’Honor’ is a symbol of gratitude towards those who have made an exemplary contribution to the prestige and growth of the islands, whether in the sporting, social, cultural or professional spheres.

The first to receive it was tennis player Rafael Nadal, on 29 November 2025, ahead of a LaLiga match against CA Osasuna played at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

With this award, the Club reaffirms its bond with Mallorca and its desire to celebrate those who represent the best of our community.
