Xisco Campos leaves the RCD Mallorca backroom staff

Our former player departs to become head coach of Gimnàstic de Tarragona

Xisco Campos is leaving his role on the coaching staff of RCD Mallorca’s first team to become the head coach of Gimnàstic de Tarragona.

Campos joined the first-team staff of the Bermellón side in 2024, under then-manager Jagoba Arrasate, after serving as an assistant to Gustavo Siviero with Mallorca B.

As a player, the Binissalem native came up through the youth ranks at RCD Mallorca, a club he returned to in 2017 after stints with Levante B, Écija Balompié, Real Murcia, CD Castellón, Ponferradina, and the aforementioned Nàstic.

At the time of his return, the club was in Segunda B, and Campos was a key player—as well as captain—on a team that achieved two consecutive promotions to the First Division.

Following that 2019–20 season in the top flight, the Mallorcan moved to Pontevedra CF and later to Zamora CF, where he retired as a player in 2022.

RCD Mallorca is deeply grateful to Campos for his professionalism and hard work at the club and wishes him the very best in his new role on the sidelines.
