Match report: RCD Mallorca B 1-0 CD Ebro

Javier’s own goals gives us a well-deserved victory at the Ciudad Deportivo Antonio Asensio

RCD Mallorca B returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory against CD Ebro at the Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio courtesy of an own goal on the hour mark.

Chances were few and far between throughout the first half as both sides struggled to find their rhythm, although Pere Joan was called into action on the stroke of half-time to Efrén from the penalty spot after David López had been fouled in the box.

Joan’s heroics ensured we headed into the break level as manager Julián Robles introduced Gálvez and Valverde and changed his system.

The alterations paid off after the restart as on the hour mark Javier was powerless to prevent a low cross across goal from heading into his own net.

Jaume Tomar and Gálvez came close to putting the game to bed with late chances as we looked to double our advantage, although the scoreline stayed the same come full time as we registered an important three points.
