There has been no time to waste for Antoniu Roca with our new signing having signed his contract, met his new team-mates and set off for Marbella for our pre-season camp.

How do you feel about this new challenge?

I’m really looking forward to it and I’m very excited to take on this challenge and achieve our objectives.

Why did you choose to come to RCD Mallorca?

I have to say that the manager was one of the main reasons, as I’ve played under him before. What’s more, it’s a very attractive club, where the objectives are clear and we hope to achieve them.

Tell us more about your relationship with Luis García.

I think he knows me; he knows what I’m capable of bringing to the team, and I also know what he expects from his players. So I think it’s the ideal place for me.

And how has your first meeting with your new team-mates gone?

Very well – to be honest, they’ve given me a really warm welcome. I’m happy and really looking forward to getting to know them all.

And how would you describe yourself as a player and as a person?

I’m a down-to-earth person who really enjoys working hard. On the pitch, I like to play for the team, break through the defence and create chances.
