Antonio Raíllo, Leo Román, Martin Valjent and Jagoba Arrasate reflected on our 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo. Find out what they had to say below:
Antonio Raíllo:
On the penalty decision: I told the referee that I didn't grab him, because it's true that I didn't grab him, I just put my hand on his chest. You have to watch the replay, but he was grabbing me too.
On the match: I think the team was well positioned, compact in defence. We weren't quite sharp enough with the ball. The referee is too quick to blow the whistle for something that's just a challenge.
On what is next: We have to move on and keep working. The team is more united than ever and we have to take advantage of every opportunity.
Leo Román:
On the defeat: It's a very tough defeat. The match went the way we wanted, but it didn't end well. We have to learn from this and we have to be strong at home, that's where our salvation will lie.
On defensive level: We ended up conceding two goals, but I think we saw a different side to the team. We were solid. We have to be brave from the start and try to get three points. We have to go back to being that awkward team we used to be, being decisive in the boxes. We have no choice but to go out and win the next game at home.
Martin Valjent:
On the dressing room: We're screwed. The intention was to get a point and play at home again. Until the 85th minute, the team was very committed. The penalty decision ‘killed’ us.
On what was missing: We didn't create any danger in the opposition's area. The team came out focused, looking to counterattack, but we weren't dangerous at any point. We didn't manage to get any points, which was the objective.
On form: In these situations, you have to stay calm, work hard and stick together. It's not easy, but all we can do is stick together.
Jagoba Arrasate:
On the team: We're screwed after all that effort. We have to analyse why we had so few chances. We have to improve for Saturday to play a better game.
On the penalty: I told the referee that you can't decide a match on an action like that. Antonio put his hand on his chest and Borja exaggerated a lot. That grab wasn't enough, far from it. They were better, but there was little time left and we were close to a draw.
On defensive improvement: We were rigorous and committed defensively as a team. But with the ball, we have to do better to win in the first division.
On substitutions: Especially with Morlanes with that ball out, plus Omar had a yellow card.
On form: We mustn't look the other way, we have to face the situation as it comes. It's tough and delicate, but we have to face it. On Saturday, we can win in front of our fans at home.
