Pre-season match report: RCD Mallorca 2-1 Al Shabab Al Ahli

Javi Llabrés and Vedat Muriqi ensure our pre-season camp in Austria gets off to a winning start

Our pre-season camp in Austria got off to a winning start as we beat Al Shabab Al Ahli 2-1 courtesy of goals from Javi Llabrés and Vedat Muriqi.

Jagoba Arrasate named a much changed side in order to give players minutes throughout pre-season as new signings Lucas Bergström and Pablo Torre made their first starts, Jan Salas and Daniel Luna made their first appearences while Iliesse Salhi was also introduced to senior football at the Kufstein Arena

Abdon had our first sight at goal when he came close to latching onto Pablo Maffeo's dangerous cross in the 15th minute.

Kauan Santos gave us a warning in the 27th minute when he fired just over the bar in the 27th minute, although there was little Bergström could do about Al Shabab Al Ahli's next chance as Mateus Dias' strike deflected off David López minutes later as we headed into the break a goal down.

A new side was introduced at the break as Johan Mojica, Omar Mascarell and Mateu Jaume were among the names to enter play while Leo Lucas Sánchez was handed his first senior appearence.

We were level in the 54th minute when Llabrés reacted first to a loose ball in the box following Mojica's cross and found the back of the net.

We would complete the come back in the 90th minute after controlling much of the second half when Vedat Muriqi made no mistake from the penalty spot after our forward was fouled in the box.

The winning start sets us up for our next challenges we now face Lyon and then Parma in Austria.
