“Gol en estéreo” wins the RCD Mallorca Short Film Competition and the EMIFF

Son Moix hosted various members of the audio-visual community in a short film competition

RCD Mallorca Studios, in collaboration with the Evolution Mallorca Film Festival (EMIFF), held the Short Film Competition awards ceremony on Tuesday, an initiative that seeks to promote creativity and audiovisual talent within the club's community.

The first prize, worth €1,000 and an experience for two people in the club's hospitality suite on match day, went to the short film ‘Gol en Estéreo’ by Biel Crespí. The other two finalists were ‘Ara tú sí que pots’ by Aina Bestard and ‘A feeling’ by Pau Sánchez. All the finalists were recognised for their participation in this first edition of the competition, with fourth and fifth place going to ‘Mallorca Doesn't Forget’ by Leonardo J. Pons and ‘4 Ever Tomeu’ by Carlos Vaquer.

The event took place in the Conference Room at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, attended by CEO of Business Alfonso Díaz; Maía Calafat, Festival Manager of EMIFF; and Albert Salas, director of RCD Mallorca Studios. During the day, the five finalist short films were screened and a panel discussion was held on experiences of short film competitions to mobilise the community, with the participation of Amador Garcías (MARE), María Calafat (EMIFF) and Albert Salas (RCD Mallorca Studios).

In his speech, Alfonso Díaz highlighted the importance of this collaboration as a way of bringing together sport, culture and creativity, and encouraged the Mallorquinista community to tell their own stories through the audiovisual format. He also congratulated EMIFF on an extraordinary edition, marked by the presence of renowned Hollywood actor Steve Buscemi, and for consolidating a cultural event of great relevance in Mallorca.

The event concluded with a photo session and a relaxed gathering at the PreZero Tunnel Experience, the stadium area overlooking the pitch, where attendees celebrated the talent of the participants and the closing of this first edition.
