Abdón Prats scored twice in the second half to get our Copa del Rey campaign off to a winning start with a 2-0 victory against Atlètic Sant Just.
Jagoba Arrasate rotated his side for our trip to the Estadio Municipal de Hospitalet as Bergström was named in goal and academy products David López, Olaizola, Llabrés and Domenech started.
We started the better side but were unable to generate any clear-cut chances during the opening exchanges.
Javi Llabrés and Pablo Torre caused problems from the flanks while Abdon tried his luck on occasion from teh edge of the box.
The hosts' evening would be more difficutl as Palacios received his marching orders in the 24th minute.
While unable to get ahead with our numerical advantage, we headed to the dressing room with it all to do in the second half.
Abdon opened the scoring three minutes after the restart when he headed home Torre's cross into the box.
The hosts responded in the right way and looked to create chances with a direct style of play, although our defence held off against the balls into the box.
Abdon put the game beyond doubt when he put the finishing touch to Takuma Asano's ball across the box in the 71st minute.
We remained in control until the final whistle as we headed into the next round of the Copa del Rey.
