Club President Andy Kohlberg hosted a video press conference for the presentation of new Director of Football Pablo Ortells and confirmed the permanent appointment of Alfonso Díaz as CEO of Commercial Operations following a successful interim period.
Sharing the latest announcements regarding our internal hierarchy from the United States, Mr.Kohlberg also paid tribute to those affected by COVID-19, essential workers and club staff ahead of the first team’s return to training and a potential resumption of competitive fixtures.
“On behalf of the club, I want to send our condolences to those who have suffered from COVID-19 and also take this opportunity to thank all the health workers who risk their lives to care for those who need it most,” he began. "I also want to thank the players and coaching staff for their solidarity in such difficult times. Coming together as a team is the key to achieving success for Real Mallorca in the long term.
“This collective spirit will serve us throughout this period of re-training and prepare us for the end of the season. I’m sure that when La Liga does resume, we’ll be one of the fittest and best prepared teams in Spain.
“Looking ahead to the future, Pablo will lead the footballing matters of the club while Alfonso will be in charge of the commercial area. Both will inform me as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.”
