Pablo Maffeo and Antonio Sanchez: ‘We have to go to Vallecas to win’

The full back and central midfielder spoke to our Twitter Space

Pablo Maffeo and Antonio Sanchez have one thing on their mind ahead of our fixture against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

The duo spoke to our Twitter Spaces ahead of our trip to Vallecas and believe nothing less than three points will do.

"We have been training for two days, and we are already preparing for the match against Rayo Vallecano,” Maffeo started. “In the end, our last match was decided by other decisions, but we are already thinking about Vallecas. We have to go to win.”

"We are looking forward to the next game because in the last game the team played well, but in the end, things were decided by the penalties that prevented us from getting any points and we are looking forward to getting a victory,” Sanchez continued. “Rayo Vallecano is a very difficult opponent.”

We welcomed our fans back to the Visit Mallorca Estadi for the first time during our 2-1 defeat to Real Betis last week, and Sanchez says the recent redevelopments have had a positive impact on the stadium’s atmosphere.

"In the training we did at the stadium we already thought it was spectacular, and with the crowd it was even better,” he continued. “The atmosphere changes a lot and the people are going to help us a lot throughout the season."
