Manu Morlanes, Jan Virgili and Jagoba Arrasate reflect on the defeat to Real Madrid
Find out what the players and our boss had to say about the loss
Manu Morlanes, Jan Virgili and Jagoba Arrasate spoke to the media after our 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid. Find out what they had to say below:
Manu Morlanes:
On his thoughts: Today we came out stronger despite knowing it would be difficult to score points. We came out stronger as a group from this match. Now it's time to disconnect and come back at full strength after the break.
On the chances: We dominated them at times, we knew we had to be lucky to score points. We're sad we didn't get anything, but we're aware of the schedule we've had. It's time to grow as a team during this break.
Jan Virgili:
On his debut: I was very excited and eager to get on the pitch. I was nervous at first when I came on, but then I calmed down.
On his style of play: I like to take on players, but above all I try to give my best to help the team.
On the match: The team played very well, we were close, and now we have to keep working to get the results.
Jagoba Arrasate:
On the game: We lost the match in that minute when we conceded two goals. Even so, I really liked the team's reaction in the second half, showing character and creating some clear chances. It was a shame not to get any points.
On the danger created: I'm happy with our attacking play, but the mistakes we made in defence cost us.
On a change of system: We responded very well in a difficult situation. The players adapted well and now we have to start thinking about the match against RCD Espanyol.
