We are delighted to announce that Luis García Fernández (Oviedo, 6 February 1981) has been appointed as the new manager of RCD Mallorca.

Our new manager has signed a contract until June 2027, with an option for a further season.

García previously managed UD Las Palmas during the 2025/26 season, with prior experience as head coach of the Qatar national team and RCD Espanyol, a club he led in both the top flight and the second tier.

García is also no stranger to RCD Mallorca from his time as a player, having worn the club’s crimson colours during the 2004/05 season. As a footballer, he also represented Spain at senior international level and came through the youth ranks at Oviedo and Real Madrid, as well as playing for the first teams of Real Murcia, RCD Espanyol, Real Zaragoza, Tigres UANL and Belgian side KAS Eupen.
