Leo Román, Valjent, Samu Costa y Jagoba Arrasate valoran el partido ante el Atlético de Madrid

Leo Román, Valjent, Samu Costa and Jagoba Arrasate were on media duty after our 3-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid. Find out what our players and the boss had to say below:

Leo Román:

On the game: I think the team was compact and solid. We had a bit of bad luck. We have to learn from our mistakes and move on; this was a tough ground. We need to be strong at home.

On the defeat: They have a great team, the stadium is packed, and we knew it would be difficult to get anything out of here. We had that intention, and the team tried. They put in a cross, we had a bit of bad luck, that's football, and these things happen.

On the next match: We have to show that home games are our fortress. I encourage everyone to be with us, even in the bad times. They are going to be key for this season.

Martin Valjent:

On the defeat: The result hurts. Until the second goal, we were in the game and doing things better. I think it was bad luck, and that's where we have to improve many things, and Monday against Sevilla will be an important day, and we have to focus on that.

On the game: In the first half, they moved the ball very well and didn't let us get a foothold. We defended as best we could. We gradually improved and became better at attacking them. That's how it ended. We need to be self-critical and analyze things to take a step forward.

Samu Costa:

On the game: For me, we played poorly. We have to give much more and compete better. We need to show more character and improve significantly.

On the second half: It was a somewhat strange match. We have to compete much better; it's our obligation, myself included. We have this week to analyze and correct our mistakes.

On the next match: All matches are important; we have to change our mindset. We can win both away and at home. We can't always wait for home games to win.

Jagoba Arrasate:

On the game: The end of the match hurts. We were hoping to equalize, but Muriqi's shot didn't go in, and then they scored the second. It's a tough result. We were playing in their half, we had Muri's chance, and that goal hurts. We defended worse in the final stages.

On the second half: We had a bit more possession and presence in their half. We pushed them back a bit more in their own half, and that was the idea, to try and create scoring opportunities from there, but they didn't materialise.

On the next match: Today's was a missed opportunity, but we have to focus on training tomorrow and having a good week so we can get the three points in front of our fans on Monday against Sevilla.
