RCD Mallorca Genuine registers wins in Cádiz

Los mallorquinistas faced Real Betis Balompié and FC Cartagena

RCD Mallorca Genuine enjoyed the second phase of LaLiga Genuine Moeve this weekend, played at the Ciudad Deportiva Bahía de Cádiz. The Mallorcan team played two matches, against Real Betis Balompié and FC Cartagena, and once again demonstrated that, above and beyond the results, the most important thing is to demonstrate and convey the values instilled in them as people and athletes.

The 16 members of the squad, three of whom made their debut on a trip as Club players, attended the pre-trip meeting on Thursday, which took place in Room 1916 at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix. The Corporate CEO of RCD Mallorca, Alfonso Díaz, was present to wish them the best of luck in Cádiz.

The expedition, led by an all-female staff, set off on Friday afternoon for the Andalusian city and on Saturday they visited the main points of interest there. In addition, RCD Mallorca Genuine was represented at the institutional welcome ceremony held at Cádiz City Hall, which was attended by the Mayor of Cádiz, Bruno García; the President of Cádiz CF, Manuel Vizcaíno; and the President of Fundación LaLiga, Clemente Villaverde.

In the afternoon, the Mallorquinistas, supported by a large group of family members, played their first match against Real Betis Balompié. The match began with a minute's silence in memory of the tragic accident in Adamuz and as a sign of respect for the victims and their families.

On Sunday, RCD Mallorca Genuine bid farewell to Cádiz with a great match against FC Cartagena, in which the players wore green armbands to raise awareness of World Cancer Day, which is celebrated on 4 February. This was followed by the medal ceremony, which brought to a close a weekend that once again highlighted the motto of LaLiga Genuine Moeve: ‘Sharing before competing’.
