Vedat Muriqi, Samu Costa, Sergi Darder and Pablo Torre hit the target as we climb out of the relegation zone
Vedat Muriqi, Samu Costa, Sergi Darder and Pablo Torre score as we beat Sevilla FC 4-1 to lift ourselves out of the relegation zone.
Jagoba Arrasate opted to continue with David Lopez in defence while Asano was introduced on the flank.
The visitors started the stronger side which required Leo Roman to make a series of saves during the opening exchanges.
We soon found our feet as Jan Virgili caused problems down the flank and after a wonderful solo dribble into the box, would earn his side a penalty which Muriqi made no mistake from the spot with in the 26th minute.
Sevilla FC managed to head into the break on level terms as Neal Maupay struck in injury time when he reacted first to the ball to score.
The setback wouldn't stay on our minds for long as we provided an instant response when Virgili again managed to drive forward to tee up Samu Costa to put the finishing touch in the 52nd minute.
Samu Costa would then become creator as our midfielder made a burst down the wing, pulled the ball back for Muriqi who looked for the far corner, but found his effort bounce off the back of Sergi Darder to wrong foot Vlachodimos and add a third goal.
Our night was not over as we entered into injury time as Pablo Torre got himself on the scoresheet when he applied the finishing touch to Mateo Joseph's fine pass.
