The event organised by the Govern de les Illes Balears promotes equality, education and awareness

On Friday, the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix hosted the commemorative event for School Day of Non-Violence and Peace, a day organised by the Government of the Balearic Islands that brought together 3,500 primary and secondary school students from educational centres in Palma.

The event was attended by the President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens; the Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez; the Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Vera; as well as the President of RCD Mallorca, Andy Kohlberg, and the club's Corporate CEO, Alfonso Díaz, reinforcing the link between the sports institution and the educational community of the Islands.

One of the most symbolic moments of the event was the reading of a manifesto for peace by student representatives. Afterwards, attendees enjoyed a concert by the group Pèl de Gall, which brought rhythm and energy to a morning marked by the values of coexistence and respect.

One of the most emotional moments was the release of doves, a universal symbol of peace and the desire to promote dialogue, coexistence and the peaceful resolution of conflicts from an early age.

The closing ceremony was led by President Margalida Prohens, who addressed the students, emphasising the importance of education in values as the basis for building a more just and respectful society. The musical finale was provided by Inés Mas, with a performance of John Lennon's Imagine.
