Leo Román leaves RCD Mallorca

The goalkeeper joins RC Deportivo after his release clause was activated

Leo Román has left the club after RC Deportivo exercised the player’s buyout clause.

Having joined the club in the 2020–21 season, the Ibizan goalkeeper continued to develop his skills until making his first-team debut in the 2021–22 season.

On December 16, 2021, he made his Copa del Rey debut against UD Llanera and subsequently made his First Division debut. In the 2023/24 season, he went on loan to Real Oviedo, a stint that allowed him to continue growing and gaining experience.

Throughout his time with RCD Mallorca, Leo Román has played a total of 48 matches with the first team: 43 in the First Division and 5 in the Copa del Rey.

Everyone at the club wishes him the very best of luck in his personal and professional future.
