Leandro Montagud strengthens the goal of RCD Mallorca

Leandro Montagud (Albalat de la Ribera, Valencia, 1989) will reinforce the goal of RCD Mallorca the next two seasons. The Valencian goalkeeper comes from CF Villanovense, team of group IV of the Second division B in which he conceded 28 goals in 35 games played last year. Montagud, in addition, was the second goalkeeper who more times left his goal to zero of the first three categories of Spanish football with a total of 21 games unbeaten, one less than Jan Oblak, 22, keeper of Atletico de Madrid.

Montagud assures that he arrives at RCD Mallorca "with special enthusiasm" and appreciates the interest shown by the Balearic club in getting his services: "I want to start now and meet the rest of my teammates, to see if we all make a beautiful season". In relation to the competition that will take place in the goal, the new signing says he wants to establish a "healthy competition" with Manolo Reina and Miquel Parera: "They have spoken very well to me both, both on and off the field. I come to create a healthy competition and that the team can take advantage of that grain of sand, I want to win opportunities and, above all, take advantage of them "
