The Penya Mallorquinista Toni Calafat pays tribute at the Estadi Son Moix

The association got together at the club for a moving tribute

The Toni Calafat Mallorca Supporters’ Club held a moving tribute yesterday in the Sala 1916 at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix to honour the memory of Toni Calafat, former director and shareholder of RCD Mallorca.

The event served to highlight the legacy of the man after whom the supporters’ club is named – a club now with twelve years of history – in a ceremony filled with emotion and fond memories.

The event was attended by first-team player Abdón Prats and reserve-team player Saifdine Chafai, as well as club representatives including Alfonso Díaz, CEO of Business; Pablo Ortells, sporting director; and Román Albarrán, Director of Social Affairs.

Several former Mallorca players also took part in the tribute, including Joan Forteza, Chichi Soler, Jovan Stankovic and Juanjo Dobla, as well as the supporters’ club president, Jaume Calafat, and the president of the Unió de Penyes Mallorquinistes, Toni Vallespir.

During the event, the supporters’ club organised its first ever awards ceremony to recognise the careers and commitment of various figures linked to Mallorquinismo. In this inaugural edition, Cati Guasp was honoured after 37 years of service at the club, as were Joan Forteza and Abdón Prats, in recognition of their connection to and dedication to RCD Mallorca.

The event concluded in a convivial atmosphere between supporters’ club members and club representatives, reaffirming the club’s commitment to the legacy and values of Mallorquinismo.
