Jagoba Arrasate: "It is the moment to work, shut up and win"

Find out what the boss had to say ahead of our hosting of Valladolid

Jagoba Arrasate spoke to the media in his pre-match press conference ahead of our hosting of Valladolid this weekend. Find out what the boss had to say below:

On availability: Robert is better and will start training with the team on Monday. We have doubts about Robert and Manu Morlanes to see if they can take that positive step and help us in the last two games. Chiquinho has knee discomfort. Muriqi and Takuma played a few minutes the other day and are training normally, they are ready to start.

On the team: We have to look inwards and recognise that we are not in a good moment and that we can do things better. The external noise that may be there is there but it depends on us as well. It's time to work, shut up and win.

On Robert Navarro: He had a major adductor injury and last week he slipped and hurt himself a bit higher up. He has had to stop for 3/4 days but in principle he will start training on Monday and we will see how he feels.

On the fans: I don't know, I haven't been here long. What I do know is that it's up to us to make the fans happy and if the fans aren't happy it's because we're not doing well. This year I've seen people hooked and I've seen people happy at Son Moix, that's what we're going to try to do tomorrow. We have to get past tomorrow. The focus is there and we're responsible for what's going on around us.

On Valladolid: We have to respect Valladolid as much as possible. There is no easy game, we haven't scored a goal in three games. These games are not won before they are played, we are focused on what we have to do to win and for that we have to do many more things than we are doing. We have to win tomorrow and the door of hope will open again.

On management: All the teams that are there have a bit of the same feeling: the season is good but we are missing opportunities. It's been a tough week, I'm not going to lie to you, we played a very bad game on Monday. We have a chance tomorrow and we have to take it.

On attack: We're two teams that find it hard to score goals and we've struggled to score in the last few games. We have to generate fluency in the game and from there we also have to be effective. It's essential to score goals to win and let's see if tomorrow we can generate more and be more effective.

On the system: We have to attack with 11 and defend with 11. We need to defend better than we did the other day and that can't be. And then in attack we also need more fluidity, to occupy the spaces better and that can sometimes be facilitated by a system, but it's not just a question of the system.

On the season: The season is already going well but we want it to be very good. I come here and I know that Mallorca's objective is to stay in the first division, but I'm not satisfied with that. We've had that for a long time and we have to aspire to more and we have to keep demanding. In this second half of the season we are not doing well and we can do better, and there is still time for everything. There are four games left and everything depends on tomorrow.

On Samu Costa: He's a player with a lot of impetus. The other day he was jumping under pressure and I understood that he didn't have to jump. Sometimes he has to be more still and sometimes he has to be ordered. He's a young lad, he has room for improvement and he also has energy. He gives his all and we don't have enough of that either, so we need Samu's good qualities.

On tomorrow's game: If we win tomorrow, I think all the teams that are there would change for us. We won't be so clumsy not to see it that way too. It's true that we're on a bad run and that the feelings aren't the best. If we can do things well, which is our idea, which we've done throughout the year, and win, I'm at least terribly excited that the last few games will be about fighting for Europe. Everything happens tomorrow, we have to get through tomorrow's screen first.

On Cyle Larin: You'll see, I've made my decision. It's not unreasonable for him to play alongside Muriqi. We have Muri and we have to take advantage of him.
