Dani Rodríguez participates in mental health session

The midfielder spoke about the importance of mental and physical wellbeing

Dani Rodríguez has stressed the importance of good mental health at a recent chat for Parlem de Salut Mental i Esport for World Mental Health Day.

Our midfielder was joined alongside Xavi Torres, Paralympic swimmer and Jaime Cardona, runner.

The three prominent figures in Balearic sport highlighted the importance of mental health and shared their personal testimonies with the audience.

"Since I signed here in Mallorca, the truth is everything has been wonderful,” Dani Rodríguez said. “From the first day. It’s wonderful people on the street congratulate you and your children are happy. I have three kids and everything in your house is phenomenal, but six or seven months ago, when the team was not doing well, a lot of criticism came, towards me and focused on me, and it seemed that I was to blame for the results.

“At the age of 33, I had never experienced that kind of situation and I was taught how to manage it. I didn't manage to get out of that hole until I found that person who helped me open up my mind.”
