The coaching staff of grassroots football strengthen their bond with a team-building day at Parc de Llevant.
A day at the Ermita de Betlem has helped to foster teamwork, decision-making, and leadership within the coaching staff of the youth and reserve teams.
The Parc de Llevant was the chosen setting for a new team-building day for RCD Mallorca, an established activity within the youth football calendar. On this occasion, the coaching staff of the cadet, youth, and football 8 teams traveled to the Ermita de Betlem, a historic site on the island, to share an experience that combines nature, reflection, and teamwork.
The goal, as explained by Roberto Silva, youth football psychologist, is "to bring the coaching staff together so they can do an activity as a group and have the opportunity not only to get to know each other but also to interact in an environment like this in Mallorca."
The activity was conducted in the format of an orienteering race, a challenge that required communication, strategy, and leadership. "We want the coaches to work on aspects they encounter daily with the boys at Son Bibiloni, which are then transferred to competition," added Silva. "Dealing with the uncertainty of whether the decision they are making is the right one, sharing shared points of view, decision-making, leadership."
Beyond the sporting aspect, the day also served to strengthen personal bonds among the different staff members and reinforce the sense of belonging. In a natural setting like the Parc de Llevant, collective work blended with a connection to the island and its landscapes, a reminder of the importance of sharing goals, values, and purpose within the club.
This dynamic is part of RCD Mallorca's plan to continue promoting personal and group growth activities among the youth academy coaches, convinced that a united coaching team is the foundation for developing more well-rounded players, both on and off the field.
