Sergi Darder and Samu Costa analyse the 1-1 draw against UD Las Palmas

Our new signings reflect upon the point earned at the Gran Canaria Stadium

New signings Sergi Darder and Samu Costa were on post-match media duties after our 1-1 draw with UD Las Palmas. We kicked off the new season with a point as Antonio Raíllo’s header cancelled out Jonathan Viera’s first-half penalty. Find out what the duo had to say below:

Sergi Darder

"Very happy to be able to make my debut, to turn the score around. I think we deserved more. Especially in the second half, we were much better than them.
“We played what we wanted to play. It's important to win away from home in the first game, but you're left with the feeling that you could have taken three points.”

Samu Costa

"It was a good game. The first half cost us a little more. In the second half we were able to reach the goal more. We could have won the match, but it's a point and we value it. We value the work, the humility and that this team is going to keep fighting.

"I felt very good. My teammates helped me and I felt the support of the team.”
