RCD Mallorca Juvenil A 2-0 CD San Francisco

Our youngsters get back to winning ways in convincing style

Pau Mascaró and Sempere were on target either side of half-time as we ended our winless run of four games to beat CD San Francisco 2-0 at Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio.

Despite difficult weather conditions throughout the fixture, we started the stronger side and had a number of half chances during the opening exchanges.

Our good start was rewarded in the 23rd minute when Pau Mascaró scored his sixth goal of the season by reacting first in the box and hitting the target.

We headed into the break with our slender lead intact as the visitors mounted a late charge to draw level before heading into the changing rooms.

CD San Francisco came out on the offensive after the restart, but were unable to test Álex Quevedo thanks to some resolute defending.

With time ebbing away, substitute Sempere  put the game beyond doubt when he robbed possession and hammered home to ensure all three points remained at home.
