RCD Mallorca B triumph 4-0 at SD Formentera

Los Bermellones recorded a convincing win at Municipal Sant Francesc Xavier on Matchday 26 of the Tercera División

Jaume Tovar’s brace and goals from Jaime De Las Marinas Gil and Adrian Montalban gave RCD Mallorca B a comfortable 4-0 in over SD Formentera.

Sticking to a winning formula, Julián Robles made just one change to his starting XI following last week’s emphatic 5-0 victory over AT Santa Catalina on Matchday 25. Fran González returned to the squad in place of Josep Gaya to pair Andreu Hernández in defence.

Looking dangerous from the offset, Los Bermellones broke down the hosts’ resolute defending in the 29th minute when Jaime De Las Marinas Gil gave us the lead.

We maintained our slender advantage come the break but with a clear mandate to kill the game off following the restart, Montalban kickstarted what would be a rapid double salvo when he hit the target just eight minutes into the second half.

Things went from bad to worse for SD Formentera just moments later as Tovar got himself on the scoresheet to register his 11th goal of the campaign and leave the opposition with a mountain to climb in the remaining half hour.

The striker would later put the game beyond doubt with the finishing touch to a fine performance, firing home his second strike of the game to assure Robles’ side left Municipal Sant Francesc Xavier with all three points.
