RCD Mallorca B continue fine form with 2-0 win over CD Andratx

Julian Robles’ side remain undefeated this year thanks to a comfortable victory in Son Bibiloni

Goals from Oscar Coll and Adrian Montalban gave RCD Mallorca B their fourth consecutive victory with a comfortable 2-0 overcoming of CD Andratx at Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio.

Julián Robles made two changes to his side following Matchday 21’s 2-1 win away to CF Soller. Karim El Kounni was handed his debut following his loan signing from UD Ibizia at the expense of Carlos Gilbert, while Jaime De Las Marinas Gil made way for Raul Parra.

It didn’t take long for us to get the ball rolling as after just eight minutes Thomas Giaquinto raced in behind CD Andratx’s defence and pulled the ball back for Oscar Coll to fire home.

El Kounni should have made it two in the 22nd minute, latching onto Jaume Tovar’s clever pass only to lift the ball over the advancing Borja Fernández but also the bar.

Ensuring we headed into the break two goals to the good on the stroke of half-time, Adrian Montalban fired home from close range at the second time of asking having followed up on an earlier connection with a cross.

Looking to kill any hope of a potential comeback with an early goal after the restart, remaining on the offensive almost paid off when substitute Jaime De Las Martinas Gil rattled the crossbar with a speculative volley on the edge of the box.

Fizzling out after a later chances for Montalban and Tovar, neither side were able to create anything of note as we held onto our lead to remain undefeated this year.
