RCD Mallorca and Palma Council has presented the XLI Trofeu Ciutat de Palma
At Palma City Council’s emblematic congress room, the foutieth edition of the Ciutat de Palma Trophy (Palma City Trophy) has been presented today morning.
Real Mallorca’s president, Monti Galmés, Palma’s mayor, José Hila, the Balearic Football Federation president, Miquel Bestard, and the City Council’s Sports Department Director Susanna Moll have formally kicked off the Trophy acts in front of the press and have emphasized the importance of this match thas has historically united both club and city. This year, moreover, as part of the centennial celebrations of the club, this tradition grows in importance.
Palma mayor José Hila, who is a self-confessed Mallorquinist, has underlined the significance of the club for the city and the pride of surpassing the 4 decade mark for the Trophy.
Real Mallorca’s chairman has expressed his gratitude to Palma’s City Council for all the support in organizing this act as well as the support from the City Council throughout the season. He has called on the fans to come to the stadium for the Trophy match to be played on August 13th at 21:00 at the Iberstar Stadium. Prior to the game, the entire squad will be presented in front of the crowd.
On this occasion, Real Mallorca will face Granada, a team from LaLiga.
