Raillo: “we’ve got to bounce back, get our preseasonal spark back”

The central defender is back to fitness, available to selection and puts himself in the fan’s shoes

Antonio Raillo, a regular starter in Reds’ league debut games, is approaching full fitness, already in the last stages of his recovery. “I’ve tried myself today and tomorrow if I’m given the nod, I’ll train back to usual with my team-mates. I’ll be another option for the manager’s selection. I’ve been training two weeks on my own, especially at the gym and thankfully physical strentgh has not diminish. I feel I can stand full ninety minutes this Sunday if Vazquez deems it appropiate”.

The centre-back admitted the team’s situation is far from ideal as in his opinión “we deserve better from what we’ve done. If I were in the fans shoes, I’d probably critisize them too. Things’d different if we were a bit higher.” The Cordoban backliner thinks it’d be ideal “to find the perfect balance betwen attack and defence because now we’re conceding more than we used to. We should roll back a month sensations-wise through work”.

“The team’s in good heart despite results and if we continue training this hard we’re moving upwards in the table – no doubt”, he dropped at the press conference.

With regard to the possibility to the change of system over the weekend, the player revealed that “has been trying different formations at the training ground for us to know how to play them in case we need to in the pitch”. He also argues that “all rivals are tough”.

Lastly, on the rumours that could see Vazquez departing, Raillo speaks out “the first one who’s confident that a victory is awaiting for us on Sunday is Vazquez himself. We see him very calm. He has call out the fans to support the team as results will soon come our way”.
