The Mallorca team that will participate in the upcoming Mallorca 312 OK Mobility, one of the most important cycling events in Mallorca, was presented this Monday in the Conference Room of the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
The squad, whose motto is "The Most Mallorcan Team," is made up of 70 riders, including RCD Mallorca members such as Bittor Alkiza, Xisco Campos, Miquel Artigues, and Rafa Navarro.
All of them were presented with the club's special jersey, which features the characteristic "les llengos" design, a reference to the traditional Mallorcan fabric, the club's exclusive font, Dimonia, and is red and black.
The RCD Mallorca home ground has become a meeting point for football and cycling, as legends such as Miguel Induráin and Joseba Beloki met with first-team coach Jagoba Arrasate and Mallorcan player Sergi Darder.
At the meeting, the Club's Business CEO, Alfonso Díaz, emphasized the importance for RCD Mallorca to participate in such a significant sporting event on the island as the 312 OK Mobility, and expressed his pride that this collaboration brings the event closer to the Mallorcan community.
For his part, the event's organizer, Xisco Lliteras, explained that, as a Mallorcan fan and cycling enthusiast, it was a pleasure to be surrounded by two legends of the sport at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix and to see a team representing the club participating.
Beloki also spoke about the importance of data in the world of sports, in general, and in cycling, in particular, in making a difference and will be his thirteenth time participating in the event, a competition he has always felt strongly about. F
inally, Induráin acknowledged having a special attachment to Mallorca, something he didn't have when he was younger because the island reminded him of the Challenge, and added that he is proud to be back here.
