Find out what the boss and our players had to say about our 3-1 victory

Omar Mascarell, Manu Morlanes, Martin Valjent and Jagoba Arrasate spoke to the media after our 3-1 win against Elche. Find out what the boss and our players had to say after the result

Omar Mascarell:

On the victory: Pure happiness, pure joy. We were playing at home in front of our fans against a rival that is doing very well. We knew what we had to do at all times. The team was spectacular. I'm delighted, and this is the way forward.

On it being an important victory: The draw against Osasuna at home was quite tough, and the point from Oviedo is good with today's victory. It's not just the victory, but the way we achieved it.

On the goal and the assist: It's difficult to explain, in the end these are situations that happen very quickly. I saw that the goalkeeper was going to play a short pass and I moved forward. The shot was perfect and then I saw Muriqi entering the area and no matter how you pass the ball to him, he's going to score. It was a great goal.

Jagoba Arrasate:

On the match: It all comes together: the need we had, the good match we played, and I think everything turned out perfectly. The joy we all feel now gives meaning to the week we've had. We played the match we wanted to play. I think we defended very well and lacked accuracy. In the end, we got it and played a very intelligent match.

On the goals: We need to get people together to score goals, whether it's with goals or assists. Today, the double pivot scored and I'm happy for them because they deserve it.

On the victory: The match looked like it was going to end 1-1, because they wanted us to jump, but we were at their mercy. It has to give us encouragement, but not take us off track. On Tuesday we have the Cup and then Valencia on Friday. We want to go on holiday with a good taste in our mouths.

Manu Morlanes:

On the match: I'm very happy because we've won again with our fans. Today we saw that unity and atmosphere in the stadium again.

On the win at home: We know that everything happens at home, which is what will determine the rest of the season. We know that we have to get results here at Son Moix.

On goal scorers: I think we all have a very good personal relationship and in the end I'm happy for Omar's goal, he's happy for mine, and now Samu was waiting to give us a hug. That speaks volumes about how we are as a team.

Martin Valjent:

On the victory: I think it's the most important thing. I think the victory is well-deserved, and we knew how to play the game we had to against a well-organized opponent. We made some smart plays and played very well.

On Omar Mascarell: We really enjoyed playing with Omar; he's an exceptional guy. Today he showed a lot with the goal and the assist. He's a fantastic player and key for us. We have another game in three days; this continues, and I want to thank the fans.

On a record number of games played: When I look back, it seems like time is flying by and that everything has gone by very quickly. I feel privileged and very grateful to be able to enjoy all these games. I want to continue contributing as much as possible.
