Match Report: RCD Mallorca de División de Honor 2-1 FC Barcelona

Biel Ramis 89th minute strike saw us take all three points from a thrilling fixture

Biel Ramis scored an 89th minute winner as our RCD Mallorca de División de Honor side overcame FC Barcelona 2-1 at Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio.

The game got off to a frenetic pace with early opportunities for both sides, although the opening exchanges did not herald any breakthroughs.

Much to our delight, the visitors later struggled to create anything of note as we looked the stronger side heading into the break having ended the first half with Marc Casado rattling the bar.

Despite the slow restart, we took the lead in the 67th minute courtesy of Pau Mascaró and a composed finish from inside the box.

There was little we could do to prevent the visitors from restarting as Diego Almeida unleashed an unstoppable strike from 20 metres in the 82nd minute.

The game looked as if it was destined for a draw until Ramis latched onto Lázaro’s cross to make no mistake from inside the box to give us a dramatic three points.
