"It is the most complete match we have played against RCD Espanyol. We were superior - especially in the first half. The boys had a great game.

"We were a competitive team today and I like the players to be daring with the ball, but knowing how to adapt to different scenarios is the key to getting things right.”

On the team...

"This is LaLiga and we will suffer. There will be bad luck, and after the break there are three very complicated matches against Athletic Club, Villarreal CF and Real Madrid.

"We have to enjoy the moment, we have seven points and no one is taking that away from us."

On Kubo and Dani...

"Didac is less deep than Pedrosa and that's why we have placed Kubo on the wing because in the one-on-one he is definitive, and Dani inside breaks many times forcing those in the middle to follow him. The truth is: it has worked out perfectly.

"Dani had a great game, and not just because of the goal. He runs like no other, brings his endurance and then with the ball he makes the difference.”
