Juan Rodríguez met with the press after training this morning and highlighted that the teams’ objectives are to continue interacting well with the fans, while growing together as a team, “we have to expect good results and that comes from our mentality. With a good attitude it is always easier to achieve positive things.” Relatedly, the player reassured that the team is ambitious and wants to get to the Primera Division “like always, with excitement, force, and humility. It will not be easy, the category is tough, but with hard work we can do it. It is an exciting task and we have to give it a try.”
The midfielder mentioned that he was very satisfied with the way that the Club incorporated him, “I am very happy to be at Mallorca, they seem like an excellent group and the agreement is going very well.” And, when talking about the team´s schedule, he said that it does not matter who the team plays, “because all of the games will be tough” but still, the team must start well, “to achieve our goals we have to start well. We have to work very hard now so that we can peak at the beginning of the league.”
And, specific to the preseason, he mentioned that even though the team is focusing on the physical aspects, “we are not forgetting the tactical stuff that we have to implement as soon as possible” and for that he said that it is vital to have the roster completed soon, “not having to think about arrivals and departures helps us focus on the work at hand.”
Finally, he smiled when talking about the Player´s Lounge at Son Bibiloni, “I have never been at a club with facilities like the ones here, and additionally they help cut pineapple” and he confirmed that he is not afraid of competition for places, “competition is good and does not allow one to relax. In this team everyone can play, so we must train hard. In fact, there is competition for almost all positions and that is good motivation. This is a long season, so we need it,” he concluded.
