Hermandad de los Alfonsinos holds its annual dinner at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix

The Hermandad de los Alfonsinos held its annual dinner this Thursday at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix. The event is always an important gathering for an association that works to preserve the legacy of RCD Mallorca’s founders, when the club was originally established under the name Alfonso XIII FBC.

The dinner took place at Club 1916, home to the club museum, a fitting setting for an event that, among other things, serves to remember such a significant moment in the club’s history as the birth of RCD Mallorca.

Among those attending were the RCD Mallorca first-team head coach Luis García; goalkeeper Iván Cuéllar; president of the Hermandad de los Alfonsinos, Pep Ginard; RCD Mallorca Corporate CEO Alfonso Díaz; Football CEO Pablo Ortells, and Director of Corporate Affairs, Albert Salas.

Other notable figures also attended, including Toni Taxta, former player Joan Forteza, former president Josep Pons, Toni Tugores and Cati Guasp. Miquel Àngel Bennassar, General Manager of the Institut Municipal de l’Esport, was also in attendance.

The dinner brought together people who form part of the club’s past and present and who have played, and continue to play, an important role at RCD Mallorca. Ginard also presented an award to Joan Ferrer Tomás, former youth football director in the 1970s. It was, therefore, an evening of memory, legacy, fellowship and Mallorquinista spirit.
