Our final game of the season ends goalless as we finish in 10th position
Our 2024/2025 season came to an end with a 0-0 draw at Rayo Vallecano as we finished our campaign in 10th position.
Jagoba Arrasate made a number of changes as Marc Domenech started in attack, David Lopez was named as a central defender and Toni Lato was preferred at left back.
Dominik Grief was in action from the get go as he made a string of saves to keep the scoreline level during the opening exchanges.
Vedat Muriqi had our best chance of the first half when he did well to latch onto Toni Lato’s cross but was unlucky not to find the back of the net.
We headed into the break goalless as the frentic tempo of the opening minutes soon calmed.
Domenech was impressive after the break and almost put us ahead with a low effort but was enited by Batalla.
Manu Morlanes, Dani Rodríguez, Jan Salas and Cyle Larin were introduced as we desperately searched for a winner.
While our efforts would not result in a goal and we headed back to the island with a point, we ended the season with one of our best league finishes in recent history.
